Robert Moses

A prominent American urban planner and public official who had a major impact on the development of New York City between the late 1800's and early 1900s.

Moses was known for his aggressive and controversial approach to urban planning, utilising his positions of power.

He had many citizens protest against him with his plans for reforming and removing sections of neighbourhoods, primarily with his slum clearance and notably the Lower Manhattan Expressway (LOMEX).
