Placing containers adjacent one another allows for utilisation of each one to serve as student rooms as well as en-suites.

Construction

Ensuring that the construction is insulated as well as space-saving to prioritise the internal space of the containers, an internal steel frame can be placed on the inner-side of the containers walls with insulation and gypsum board and finally a plastered finish to be painted.

Sliding doors can be used to save space internally passing from the main hall to the bedroom then to their bathrooms. Removing the swing of doors allows for further space in the bedrooms and does not impede on the circulation space outside.

Study

Having a desk space to study is crucial for students. Within these small spaces, techniques such as a folding desk-bed can be used for dual-purpose sleeping and studying.

The desk can be folded down to reveal the tucked bed beneath the backboard, ready for sleeping. With the storage fixed onto the walls and wardrobe, there is sufficient storage space.
